Colored Tights Jazz Up an Outfit
If you’re like me, you don’t have a lot of dresses. I would love to be a clothes horse, but I’m not financially able to have a closet full of beautiful, fantastic dresses. I have one really great but simple little black dress. And if you’re like me, you’re going to have to wear that dress a lot this holiday season. I have to sing at five different concerts in the span of a week and I have several holiday parties to attend. Then it will come out of the closet again at New Year’s for the big party. How can I make it look like I’m not just wearing the same dress over and over again without investing more money into another dress? The answer is simple: accessorize with jackets, scarves, and colored tights.
Jackets not only will help me stay warm but they can add an extra layer of style to a dress. The scarves do the same thing. I can wear several different scarves and still be wearing the same dress but one can dress it up, while the other dresses it down. Lastly, colored tights can make it look like I have several different outfits instead of just the one.
So this year, armed with a bunch of accessories, I can proudly wear my little black dress to each and every one of my events this season!
